It’s sure to be a beautiful weekend in Toronto. Free Stooges at Yonge-Dundas Square. Pavement is on Toronto Island. A tonne of great music everywhere! My band played and I have a lovely all access pass to all the shows and conferences of my liking. But I will be in Ohio, drinking properly with my Irish family and camping under the stars. I get to see them less often than NXNE… but it’s bittersweet.
I have been fortunate to catch some events today. I am particularly sad to miss the ongoing Live in Bellwoods: the NXNE picnic series. It’s a free jam in the park brought to you by Humble Empire and the hep-cats at The MuseBox.

Each day from 2-5pm, a BYO picnic in Trinity Bellwoods will also have short stripped down acoustic jams by bands performing at NXNE. If you can’t afford to see all the shows, this free series will help you maximize your intake. Bring your blankets and snacks and come out to hear some great music.
